How to use the Gallery software on SweetRides to upload pictures to a Gallery.

All members have the option to have the Administrator create a Personal Image Gallery for them or to allow them to add pictures to an existing Gallery.

Step 1:  Navigate to the Gallery you have been assigned rights to as explained by the Administrator.  Once inside the album you have rights to upload to, you will see a drop down box in the upper right hand corner of your Gallery.  That drop down will show you the different options you have been assigned by the Administrator.  To upload images to the Gallery, click the Drop Down Box and Select "add photos."

Step 2:  The next window that appears is the Image Upload Window.  From here, you will be able to browse your Local Computer for the location of the images you want to upload.  Select the Number of Files you want to upload at a time from the Drop Down box.  It is best to upload 5 images at a time, but you may increase that number based on your internet connection.  Click each "Browse" Button to locate an image stored on your computer.  After selecting the number of images, you will see a corresponding number of Browse buttons indicating you can browse your computer for up to 5 images to upload.  If you leave any of the File Location boxes blank, it will not harm the uploading process.  For example, if you have 5 Browse buttons, but only fill 3 of them with an image path, the other 2 can remain blank with any problems uploading.

• NOTE: You may only upload a maximum of 20MB of files at once.  The Combined size of the files you are uploading must be less than 20MB.
• TIP: For Advanced Users, you can create a ZIP file of the images on your computer and upload the single ZIP file to the server.  Once the ZIP file has been uploaded, the Server will extract the images, resize them, and put them into your gallery.  This makes uploading multiple images much easier.  The "Creating ZIP Files" User Guide can be found here:

Step 3:  Once you have Browsed your Local Computer for the images and their file paths appear in the File: text box, you can complete the process by Clicking the "Upload Now" Button at the bottom of the Image Upload Window.

Step 4:  Next step is just to wait until the images are finished uploading and processing on the server.  You will see the window below as the images are uploading.

Step 5:  Once the images have been uploaded, you will see a status window that shows the server's progress in resizing and storing the image in your Gallery.  Once the processing has completed, click the "Dismiss" Button at the bottom of the Progress Window.

Step 6:  Check your Gallery and make sure the images have ended up in the Gallery.  If you see them in the thumbnail listing, Congratulations, you have uploaded images to the SweetRides Gallery!
