Now, why didn't they think of this all a long time ago? Only in a time of an energy crisis do they come up with neat stuff like this. Its all a government conspiracy for sure! Laughing

This has been around for a while. 2 of the building here use this type of cooling. We build our ice at night when electric is cheaper. Then during the day its melted down to cool the buildings, about 150,000 sq feet.

Now the new campus is completly different. That is one of the most energy wasting designs I have ever seen. The cost of the equipment was a lot cheaper, but the return on investment would have been spectacular once you realized your energy saving costs.

Gotta love a policiticaly run institution!
