OK all, I'm sure this will go down with the lack of requests for e-mail accounts the last time I offered, but I figure I'd throw it out there for everyone.

If you are interested in creating your own website, I can help you out and give you space to upload your content and a domain name also.

I have built one for myself as an example for you all:
http://tom.sweetrides2001.com

It would be the same domain name, expect it would be yourdesiredname.sweetrides2001.com

Doesn't have to be car related, just a personal page to get yourself on the web.

Please let me know if you are interested. O, and e-mail accounts are always on the table as well Wink

Jeremy, you already have one.

If you don't have the FTP Address, username, and password, let me know so I can e-mail that to you.

Mike T, you want me to set something up for you? Do you need any help creating a page? I'm sure I can dig up a few online resources to help you get something up and running.

Anyone else?

Here is another question for you Tom, I think I found some nice software to run a personal blog on, but it requires

PHP version 4.2 or greater
MySQL version 3.23.23 or greater
The mod_rewrite Apache module

I know we run both of these on the sweetrides and capital r32 sites, but will my jeremy.sweetrides2001.com have access to it. Let me know I want to mess around with installing this software and playing around with it..

Jeremy, feel free to check out what I have installed on the web server in phpMyAdmin. When you login, there is a link on the home page of phpMyAdmin that says "Show PHP information." Click on it to get all the answers you need.

And Mike T, you are all set. I will e-mail you how to login to the FTP server and start changing files. But, for now:

Coincidentally, what e-mail do you check regularly Mike T? E-mail me from it, cstingray 78 [at] sweetrides2001.com or PM the address to me.

For all FTP activity, I highly recommend FileZilla:

Chris, I have no problem moving it over to here. I will install phpBB and all I would need from you is an export of the DB on the current site you host it on. Hopefully you can do that from the free site it is on now. Preferrably in a .SQL file so I can import it into a DB here on my server. What would you want the URL prefix to be? mdg2g.sweetrides2001.com?

And Mike T, I will e-mail you the info first chance I get.

Full version. You activate the themes and modules as you need them in the Admin CP. Its VERY different than G1.

Ok that is the one I decided to go with, becuase I found a plug in for wordpress that will incorporate gallery2 into it, and it had certain requirements as plugins and stuff that needed to be turned on in gallery2. Now just got to sit here and wait for the damn gallery stuff to upload, it has been going for an 1:51, and 1:45 of that was all on the modules folder... Rolling Eyes

How difficult is Gallery 2 to set up when you get it uploaded. If it is about the same as gallery 1 then I am in link flint.

Hey Jeremy, way to rip off the theme I made and use a premade one that looks like it. Rolling Eyes

O and for sake of space, set the max dimensions on full size pictures to 640x480. I don't think I have the space if you leave the original 2MB picture on the server when it is added to the gallery.
