Project: '72 Vette
by CStingray78
Ok, here a continuation of my Stereo Project. I am in the process of repairing the trailing arms and spindles. Also, doing some odds and ends while I have the rear ripped apart. Going to get new dual exhaust and FlowMaster 40 Series Mufflers.

UPDATE:
Finally got the Trailing Arms out today and removed from the struts. It was damn cold out, let me tell you that. Anyways, everything was rusted together so it was a real bitch getting it out. The Acetyline Torch was a big help though. Also, installed the new power antenna to complete the stereo project from a couple of weeks ago. Removed the old dual exaust and stock mufflers to make way for new dual exhaust pipes and FlowMaster 40 Series Mufflers. More pics to come as I find more things to replace...

That thing is gonna be brand new when you get done with it. Looks great. Can't wait to hear what that thing sounds like with new flowmaster on it!

Being brand new is always a plus. Now something bad ass would be if you could fit an ls-6 engin in between the fenders That be rockin ...

Yeah, heres the configuration I'm looking into.
New Dual Exhaust...
And FlowMaster 40s (maybe Delta Flow)...
Man, this car better appreciate all the money I'm sinking into it! But, its all good!

Although I can't speak from experience, according to Tom, you should hear it without any mufflers on it at all.. heheh

That is definately gonna be a big boom. My friend just put a Flowmaster on his Dodge Intrepid and it is louder. Those vettes are already loud enough haha.
Yeah, I had the pleasure of starting up the beast with open headers and MAN was that an experience. It sounded awesome, but it may get a little annoying after a little bit. Now if I only had a 454...
So when you plan on dropping the 454 in... LOL that be insane.. a 454 witha big ass blower.. Beter have lots of cash..

First estimate...
$400 per side to rebuild the trailing arms, but it HAS to be done and the guy said that they will look brand new when he gets finished with them.
Tom
FYI: Post #200 Party! "I'd like to thank the Academy..." Thanks for making this site such a hit guys and gals!

That kind of sucks but you have to do what you have to do.
