sigh.. I wonder how long it would take me to ride a bike to/from VJC.. 20 miles each way.. If I can get 4mph on average, that's only 5 hours.. ..meh.

Tell me about it I was sinking over 10$ a day into gas while driving the mustang most the summer... I just got to be to much with this latest price hike, so back to driving the focus. Which is still costing me like 5$ a day. Blah..

yeah, it sucks. I drive 45mi each way to work in the 4.0 Jeep. Yeah, you do the math.

Ok....it cost me $23.95 to till up my Saturn last night.....Its only a 10 gallon tank, yes the breaks down to 9.3 gallons....I was on fumes.

When I bought it it only cost $10 to fill up. God help me when I drive the mustang......

When you winterize it this year, you're gonna want to have a safety deposit box to put the gas in! sheesh.

I guess I get lucky... I dont have to fill mine up till Dec 1..........


When I was home though... I put 1100k miles on the car so do the math....

I've been doing some serious planning around these hikes in gas. I'm just trying to get as much done when I'm out as I can, that way I'm not driving 15 miles to Target to get one thing.

Also, it's been a great exuse to get the bike out more. I filled up the other night(a whopping 3.4 gallons) which gets me about 160 miles...almost 50MPG!!

About the only thing that makes me smile with this whole increase is that all these princesses driving around in their Escalades and Navigators have to put close to $70 a tank in maybe twice a week. Is that worth it to haul one person around and try to show other people how cool you think you are?! Oh, and when they go to sell it because gas doesn't stop going up I hope they get a horrible trade-in...who's going to want something that takes a fortune to fill up as a daily driver?

Only problem is, most of those yuppies with Escalades have the $$ to fill that tank no matter how much that gas goes up.

But a lot of those yuppies are cheap regardless how rich they are
