Keep it a surprise... and leave them in suspense.
Well, not exactly sure just yet, but the current options of interest include a replacement SB 350, cept that it'll produce 420 horsepower... : )
It'll come all together: block, heads, valve covers, intake manifold, carb, air filter, and i think water pump, and of course all of the innards.. cams, pistons, rings, yadda yadda
As for tranny, currently looking at either a rebuild of current, or maybe getting a TCI Street Fighter, which is a build of the TH-350 I believe. And to compliment that, if we need to get a whole new setup, there's either the Street Fighter, or Breakaway torque converters (assuming automatic transmission).
Edit: After checking, yeah, that motor comes with cast iron water pump, and also comes with fuel pump, filter, HEI distributor, and a buncha other stuff too. The only thing I'm not too keen on is that it comes with a Cast steel crankshaft. There is an option to get a Forged steel crankshaft in there, but it's a $600 option..but I can get the whole package for $4750, so adding 600 on that, although it sucks, isn't going to kill me (if I need to do it). And I definately like it over a comparable 425-hp engine I found on crateenginedepot.com, that's $5300, and does not include carb, accessory drive, spark plug wires, air filter, and some other things, as well.

'Bout time your ride made to the Highlights. FYI, don't spoil us with your plans. Fabricate some B.S., then roll up one day (or night) with the real deal and blow us away. Trust me, this is how we do.
'95 Trans Am (working) & '91 3000GT VR-4 (broken) & '94 3000GT VR-4 (broken)
Well I'm really gonna drop a Herrier Jet engine in it. this baby's gonna really fly!
so sshh..
so sshh..

Man, my house makes the perfect backdrop for the "Harrier"
Those new pictures actually look really hot. I always thought this car looked weird in pictures, but with the white back ground it really makes the car pop...

In that case, my driveway and the front of my house will be open for photo opportunities with your vehicle. Reserve your spot QUICK!
I think it's because all of the pics were taken within a 5 minute period on the same, bright day. Not like the old pics which were taken in all sorts of different lighting conditions at different times of the year, and so the images reflected that.
Oh and an update on this Project '78 Vette...
the new words of discussion for what to do with my engine include "stroker" "supercharger" and "nitrous".. so, any of those are possible routes of interest... : )

Kenny I would stay away from the nitrious, that is my two cents... But the first two words sound mighty nice..
