Ok, I'm normally a strong support of the boys in blue, I mean, they put their life on the line every day for our safety and I respect them for that. What I really hate is the MVA... Here's the deal:

My wife and I drove home from church this evening in separate cars. She leaves before me, but pulls over on shawan road to wait for me to catch up. While she's waiting on the side of the road, up pulls a cop. Then I get there. to make a long story short, they thought her license was suspended b/c of crap that the MVA couldn't get straight and it turns out my registration on the car expired in 8/04. I haven't recieved a &%$('n thing from the MVA about registration renewal. So the cop says, "no big deal, you get your car towed tonight and then you renew your registration and then you can pick up your car on monday... oh and here's a $55 ticket." I don't care about the ticket, I can fight that in court, but i'll never see the $200 I have to pay for the oh so excellent towing job and storage for two days seeing as how it's the weekend. From what the cop said, it sounds like he checks his registration dates every time he changes the oil! So I guess tomorrow I get to spend Saturday in the magical kingdom known as MVA. and then I get to drive my wife to work on Monday and pick up the car.

I guess the cops don't have time to break up fights at 2:30 in the morning where people are running their cars into each other, b/c they are too bogged down pulling over motorists with expired registrations who never got any notice from the MVA.

I give up. I'm just gonna ride my bicycle everywhere until the MVA figures out a way to tax those too.

There is never a cop around when you need one and its always the innocent people who get the book thrown at them. I can't belive they towed your car! That SUCKS!

Sounds like that is general theme of the weekend......Mine has just about gone the same way.....its a beautiful saturday and I am stuck at work.

I wish there were dead hookers in the trunk... then I would have at least felt like I deserved it. I haven't been able to take care of the registration yet b/c you need to go to a full service MVA and nothing is open on saturday for that! You all that work at VJC prolly wont see me till the afternoon on Monday. I'm gonna have to drive jennifer to work and then try and sort this crap out.

yeah fuck those people at the MVA....i hate everyone of those mother f'ers...i just went there a couple of days ago to hand in my Maryland tags....so i go in there and wait in the left line for like 15 mins....get up there and tell them that i want to hand in my plates and the women was like oh im sorry you have to get in the other line.....i wanted to murder her. so then i had to get out of line go around and stand in the other line for like 10 more minutes....then i get up to the front again finally and the women that does the plates is also taking care of one of the stations...well just as i get up to the front she leaves and goes to the station. Meanwhile im just waiting and waiting and waiting. about another 5-10 mins goes by and she comes back and says sorry for the wait and i finally get to hand my tags in.....FUCK them all

I got a good one for you all. My neighbors at the town house their green sebring which is always double parked (leaving my brother and I with only one parking place), the tags on that car have been expired for like 2 years, and yet they still drive the thing... WTF
