Sirius Satellite Radio Install
by CStingray78
Managed to snap some pics of my newly installed Sirius Sportster Satellite Receiver. I installed it over the weekend and I think it turned out nice.

I mounted the receiver cradle to my glove box. It came with some double stick tape to put the cradle on, but that just wasn't working. I opted to permanently install the cradle with a few small bolts.
The antenna is mounted on the passenger's side dash so I didn't have to run the antenna outside and mount it on the car. If you really HAD to run the antenna outside, there is plenty of wire and the antenna is magnetic to grab right to the roof or tunk lid of your car. I can easily dial up channels on the receiver with a small remote that came with it.
The Receiver then broadcasts on an FM Frequency that you can customize. So all I have to do is tune my radio in my Jeep to the FM station that I have the receiver set to broadcast on, and voila, Sirius Satellite Radio in my car.
I highly recommend this setup since I can plug the Sportster Receiver into my car cradle and listen in my car, and then just detach the receiver and bring it inside to plug it into my stereo. So, its easily portable!

That is a pretty damn sweet install Tom. I will have to check it out in person. I have never really been interested in satalite radio, but the more popular it is getting the more interested I am getting in it. Maybe one of these days I will get it.
