Im also would love to have the tonneau cover done by then, just depends on if we can get paint or not. But anyways post back here if you are going, I know Tom and I are planning on getting there around 3:00ish.

I'll be dere, maybe meet where the PA Dutch place used to be in Westminster around 3. Think we can have a banner made up by this weekend? Didn't know what the turnaround time was for something like that.

I'm just talking about something plain text like:

www.SweetRides2001.com
- Your Sweet Rides HQ On The Net

Or something to that effect, nothing fancy... like less than $80 or something. Let's not invest too much in it incase it doesn't work out for what we think it will do.

OK well i ordered the banner. I thought the place i was getting it from had a turn around time of 24 hours, but it is more like 72 hours, so it wont be ready for Saterday... Crying or Very sad

Here is the specifications of it.

4' by 2'
Black Canvas With Silver Letering

It will say:
www.SweetRides2001.com
The Sweetest Rides on the Net!
(In the same font as the flyers we have been handing out)

It may also have a clip art image of a third gen camaro, or a chevelle...
I will decide on which one when i see the proofs.

I will be emailed the proofs tomorow so when i get them i will post them here.

All this cost me $85.00, so if some of you want to chip in 10$ or so to help towards it that is much apreciated. I never realized these baners cost so much, now i know why LoneStar would get so mad when we would steal theirs... Twisted Evil

Now we have to build a stand for it...
Here is my idea on that...
It needs to be able to break down, so i say we use PVC piping, and hold it together in a couple of spots with some nuts and bolts. I say for the base of it we get umbrella stands or something. Some sort of tub we can put water or sand in to weigh it down. Tom im thinking you and i can put something together sat morning, this way we have it ready to go when the banner is completed.

OK, here's what we have so far. I asked Jeremy to get us a list of what other cars we have to pick from for the banner.

We picked Letter "A", but haven't made a final decision. What do we think?

The only reason I didn't pick "B" or "D" is because it has the same font throughout and its tough to read the website name in that font.

Just my $0.02

I like the looks of C. Unfortunately, I'll be at work, so I'm not going to make it to this one.

A looks good to me. I will be over at the farm this evening for sis's birthday. I will take care of getting the base together.

All in all, another great show! They had about 150 or so cars show up and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Short rain in the early afternoon, but cleared up to awesome weather.

Check out the pics from the event:

Like Tom said it was a very good show. I wish more SR2k1 members could have made it but finding out about the show like 2 days before hand is kind of hard to put togther a group to go. There were alot of nice cars and really nice weather. They also had thier shit together, so the show ran very smoothly. We also got a goodie bag full of all sorts of junk, probally made up for 5$ out of the 8$ registration fee. I also have pictures for the show, so tom if you could give me rights to the gallery that would be great. I have all the pictures sitting on a cd waiting to go online. Cant wait for next weekend. It is a weekend full of car shows.
