Havent posted in a good long time, figured i'd let everyone know whats going on in my world....

Picked up a 71 Monte Carlo SS the other day minus motor, trans, seats, dash. With a really good body and not a bit of rust on it. Figured its time to build up a motor / tranny for it. Here's what i've picked up so far.

Motor:
1969 327 (Reman Jasper Shortblock) From a 69 c60(used as a shitspreader on a farm, very little use.)
1969 441 Casting heads milled to 58 cc (10.5~11:1 comp here I come)
327-350hp Cam (.447 lift / 306 dur)
Edelbrock Perf. Intake
Holley 1 5/8" full length headers
Holley 650 Double pumper
MSD HEI dist w/ accel cap & msd coil with accel superstock wires
High Vol. Oil pump

Trans:
1975 TH350
Racing rebuild kit
Stage 3 Shift kit

Car:
Jegs Racing Buckets & restraints
B&M Shifter

Too bad I dont have any pictures of the car right now. I'll post more as I get the car together.

Man o man Josh, I tell ya. It seems like everytime I talk to you on IM or the Forums, you have another car that you picked up for $100-$300 and you are building it up! Laughing

Sounds like you have a pretty decent list together for yourself. You should open up a parts store from your bedroom with all the stuff you have in there.

Anyways, looks like a fine list so far and it'll be pretty cool to check out some of the exterior shots of this Monte.

Where's the Impala and the Chevelle?

the impala's technically sold, i'm just driving it until I get the monte on the road. The chevelle is also still here, once I finish the monte i'm just going to drop a 350 into the velle and make it a cruiser. I just do lots of buying and selling. Thats how i've afforded to build this motor considering I havent had a job for 3 weeks. I've just decided to stick with this car and build it.

Damn man it is something new every time...
Anyways good luck with the build up, and as always post back and let us know how it is going. And like tom said pictures of the actual car would be pretty nice as well.

Wow, that motor has seen better days. Just take your time cleaning it all up and it will be badass.

Any exterior shots yet?

motor only has about 150miles on it. It was used a few times in a shitspreader on a farm then parked for years.
