I still have yet to figure out what is with the latest Scion craze. It seems like every day I see more and more of those refrigerator boxes driving around. Rolling Eyes

THE xB:

Agree They're dumb looking. The xB model almost reminds me of the Honda Element..only uglier. I looked up the company online and I found out that Toyota owns Scion.

Yeah toyota does own them, well at least sells the cars. That xB lloks like a lowered Element. Ugly as all get out. But they seem to be catching on i see them everywhere now. Must be the prices tag... As for the new one that doesnt look as bad as the first two that came out...

Toyota does own them. I think Scion is just a division of Toyota.

Toyota owns the name but the creaters were the two brothers or twins. From what i've heard Toyota bought the name and design from them which probably wasn't a bad deal. One of my friends from school bought the "element" looking one and yeah from the outside it really isn't that great, but for what he paid, i'll have to admit they are pretty loaded for as cheap as it was. He onlyl paid 14g's brand new, fully loaded. I'm not saying i like the way they look at all except i kinda like the way that new model looks but i don't think i'd ever consider buying one. O well Razz

I wonder what kind of warranty that these cars offer? Most foreign cars come with a solid guarantee to them, but I'm not sure about these ones...Not that I'm in the market for one!! And do they use Toyota drivetrain with a different body styling?

I'm wondering why the scion in the very first pic seems to have a spoiler on the back.. as if it's really necessary..

the 3rd pic has one as well, but at least it looks slightly decent on it..

Well, I'm not sure what is up with the spoiler craze, but it serves no purpose on front wheel drive vehicles.

And if you want to read all about the Scion, check out their homepage:

Yeah the spoiler deff serves no purpose but o well it's just the style.

I'm sure the car is on some sort of of toyota frame and drivetrain but who knows. All import warranty's are great...Hell keith and his tiburon got like a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty

Not a bad deal Very Happy

Honda's warranty is a 3 year piece while Toyota is, I believe, a 4 year piece. I like how they 'throw in' the front mount intercooler in the new tC vehicle, yet in the description, there is no mention of a turbocharger. Also, the xA and xB are powered by some dinky four-banger that makes like 113 horsepower to the crank. So, calculate 85% of that for drivetrain loss and...........you get a whole 96 wheel horsepower Thumbs Up
Man, where do I sign up?
