Found this pretty cool article about upcoming concpets on MSN Auto this morning.

While Ford was being environmentally conscientious with the Escape Hybrid, it was quite the opposite with their other unveil at this year's show. Helping to celebrate the Mustang's 40th anniversary, Ford debuted the Mustang GT-R Concept.

This Mustang is pure race car, sporting a carbon fiber hood, a big rear spoiler, full roll cage, and a 440-horsepower aluminum block V8 engine. The Mustang GT-R was built at Saleen Special Vehicles, and was developed by the same folks responsible for the Ford GT.

Although Ford is still calling this a concept car, we wouldn't' be at all surprised to see it on the track very soon.

But, what really caught my eye, was this new Mustang Concept.

I think it looks pretty badass Twisted Evil (Minus the wing. Thats a pretty hardcore wing!)
What do we all think Question

Wow that is the first time i have seen and or heard anything about that. Which suprises me becuase i usually stay up to date on my mustang info. As for the car i think it is bad ass looking, but like you said minus the wing. It just doesnt seem to fit it right. And like the article said i can see this thing coming out shortly, maybe not as a gt-r but it may be the bassis for the new cobra, or cobra-r. I dont know just thoughts. It does remind me alot of the cobra R which they produced so i have a feeling this will possibly see the light of day. As for the side of the car what is that down towards the rear of the door. Is that Side Pipes. If so those are some huge pipes.

2 words that would be nice to hear in a sentance. "New" and "Mustang". Shocked
The only time I hear the word new is a NEW part for an OLD car. By the time I add up the nicke and dime parts I could go by a new one. But that would be NO fun at all. Very Happy We are close, another few weeks and hopefully I will stop finding stuff that is broke!

Well i have to admitt that the mustang does look quite body ass, but as you see with the wing and the carbin fiber hood, it going "new age" So if you take a mustang, like that one and do all the stuff to it that people do to imports, Well then lets just say good bye to imports then and say hello to not only raw horse power, but hello to alot of little tricks that come togerher to make a car that could rip people new assholes at the race track, so being an import person myself, i hope that a car like that never goes production, because i still think my 4 cylinder is fast

Do you think your 4 cylinder is FASTER than that new Mustang??

Because if so..
Since I'm a Muscle Car Girl myself, I hope that car does go into production, because that Mustang is bad ass. Your car only has 195HP at 5290 RPM & 225 Ft-Lbs of Torque at 3060RPM. And that's at it's MAX!! That Mustang is going to be putting out DOUBLE your car. So, in conclusion, if that New V8 Mustang goes into production, it would hand your ass to you at the track.

I'll tell you straight up that mustang looks badass. I would take that car in a heartbeat. It's deff got the new age styling but still the older mustang look.

In josh's defense, though lol, I took a ride in an S2000 the other day and holy shit it was fast. it's only a 4cylinder and yeah it doesn't have nearly as much horses as my car but who cares it's sooooooooo much lighter so it doesn't need the power we do to push our heavy asses. In all honesty that car could either keep up or take me no problem. I didn't believe it till i took a ride and was very much impressed. From pulling out of LS on to 140-by the time we were going through the kohls light we were already up to 130mph. That's badass Twisted Evil I mean yeah it's still a honda and yes it's a 4cylinder but damn can it move and it's all stock and can still probablyl take me.

That's my 2 Cents as everyone says B-Kizzle

Speak for yourself, B-kizzle. I'm not saying that car isn't any fun (a light droptop with 240 horses is cool), but you don't give yourself any credit. A new S2000 runs low 14's stock, so you should be right with'em.

Well it would probally be a close one. I think Brent only ran a low 14 himself up at the track the one time he went. Who knows all i know is an s2000 is to small for me.
