I'd look and see what the costs of the swap would be for each engine. Since you'll have to change hundreds or even thousands of dollars for additional components(engine mounting, computer, electrical, exhaust, etc.), exlcuding your engine, pick the one that would best fit you budget. Good luck and let us know what you decide on...

Yes! Unless you know a friendly shop with friendly people working there and weather or not its new or used but still low miles because a 502 is a recent biult engine ...... and yet .... if you know me you know I dont have a friendly shop anymore, nor do I have friendly people working there at those shops, nor do I want to go use, whatever goes in my car I want to be like .. well new with no miles never used you know?? so yeah I think i'll have to take your advice and get some prices down lol

Yeah, an engine swap is a big deal. I personally have not done it, but there are so many things to consider with replacing old parts to accomodate for the new engine, and getting all the new parts you need on the new engine to actually make it run in the end.
I know Mike (Burgndy87SS) did a swap a little while back and it did not come without its complications. Its a long expenive process that you may want to consider just finding another camaro for sale that already has the engine you want in it.
Just an Idea

Just thought I'd ask, but the 502 wouldn't be your daily driver, would it...?

If you want everything new, and you're gonna build the engine to hold plenty of power, it will get very expensive... trust me. I dont know a lot about the 3rd gen f-bodies, but I would say stick with a small block. I'm very sure you can squeeze a big block in there, but it's not gonna be much fun to work on with all the tight spaces. My vote would be a 400 SB all motor... maybe some nitrous if you decide the SB isnt enough later.
i say go for the gold...if your gonna do a swap anyway go all american style and get the big block 502 rock on...after all theres no replacement for displacement
