Hey all

I am running a regular round paper filter on my carb. I'm not worried about the look... it just looks kinda plain. Confused On the other hand, I'm looking for max breathing and air flow.

My question is, how much difference in breathing will the K&N provide over the regular paper filter?

Also, what about the K&N Air Filter cover? I currently have a nice chrome filter cover, but would it be more wise to use something with a little better air flow all around.

Your help is appreciated.

Tom

The good thing about the K&N is the fact that you can clean it and re-use it. I'm sure they make one for your carb(Decide if you want a bigger carb before you buy a filter).
The K&Ns are like $50 and the cleaning kit another $15. I'm sure you get some horsepower, but not what is advertised.

I would recommend one because you have other exhaust work done to your car. The higher flowing filter will help moreso since you have this extra work done, and like Notorious R.O.B. said, it's re-usable.

alright K&N are suppose to give more air flow and it would probably help you out a bit...like said before it won't give you that much power maybe around 5 ponies....as for the K&N filter cover....they are good if your strictly racing if you need a little more flow but for everyday driving it really isn't a must....but if you like the looks of it go for it

now for me....i would rather just use the paper filter....the $55 dollars for the filter and then $15 dollars for the cleaning kit just isn't worth it to me...i probably only change the paper filter 4 times a year and at 2-3 dollars a pop i feel that im saving money for other stuff i'd like to do with the car....so its up to you man....i just thought i'd throw in my two cents
