Rice Mobile Probe
by CStingray78
Hey guys,
I was going through my files the other day and found THE ULTIMATE RICE MOBILE!! I know many of us will remember this one cause it was our creation. i wish I could put the video of us driving around in this Hot Rod cause it was funny as hell. Kinda amazing what you can create with Cardboard, Aluminum Foil, and some other crap we bought from the local Rice Shop (BIG LOTS) HAHA, anyway.... enjoy the pics and have a good laugh at our weekend project.
Thanks go out to Greg for loaning us the Probe!
Yo, this is the PHATTEST Ride in Westminsta, possibly even in M-Land

yeah, I can see the heavy modds done to it, my god!! A Folgers Muffler, a LOT of stickers witch gives you like what, 50 extra HP to the ground? those fog lights my god! and that wing for all that down force it needs for those two front wheels to spin! honstly, I'd lay $100,000 for it!

I think I was only asking $25k for it; needless to say it was a bargain. The vinyl and chrome added about 212 whp, the wing was 45 whp, the fog lights were 30 whp a piece, the banners were 20 whp a piece, but the real enhancer was the 'afterburner tip' (a smaller can inside a bigger can, I mean tip) which added a minimum 70 whp for only pennies on the dollar. I remember leaving Crossroad Square shopping center and whilst in the middle of the intersection, I gunned the accelerator and absolute chaos ensued. The Wing essentially exploded due to extreme acceleration and momentum, leaving remenents in the middle of the intersection as we approached near sound barrier speeds of 500 MPH (The speedometer's numbers are multiplied by 10 because of so much realized horsepower gains). I also remember stopping on Rt. 140 by McDonald's to get out of the car and turn on the fog lights with my friend Mike. That Probe was very 'XXXtreme Performance' and definately 'Too Coool'. I can't believe we were able to secure a sponsorship from Folgers; I bet they have no regrets. The rearview ornament was the finishing touch, however there were no buyers before the Probe was defiled by obviously jealous teenagers who didn't have enough money to acquire the legend which preceeded them. Mom and Dad must have been on vacation. They stole one of the custom made chrome rims and also removed and flatened the tip. However, I have a distinct feeling that the Probe's legacy will not be forgotten and will be used as a catapult for our next project. I will post a new discussion called Rice Mods under Hall of Shame.

Also, I think it has been 3 years to the month since we did that (12/00)
I remember driving to work and college and taking up 6 parking spaces with it. Damn, we are awesome!

Greg, I tell ya, you have a way with words. That had to be the best explanation of the adventure than I can ever remember! Those playas be frontin, they were jealous of the quality rice craftsmanship that took an entire weekend to complete!
