I need agood shop in MD
by FNsweetS3
I want to go get a good dyno tune somewhere in Maryland (maybe 50 miles into PA) anyone know of some place? Not really looking to drive 3 hours for a tune... so Kaufmans in PA and Amazon in SC (like 8 hours) is out. I also need someone who knows what to do with Roush tunes and give good advice and info on SCT or Diablo tunes too?

There is a shop down around Baltimore some where that deals with mustangs. I looked into at one point when I was going to get my car tuned, but then decided to wait it out. However that was like a year ago, and the shops name is exscaping me. If it comes back I will post it here.

Kauffmans is probably less than an hour from you. It only takes me a little over an hour from Finksburg, so I wouldn't rule them out just because they are in PA. They are in Dillsburg about 1/4 mile off of 15. Maryland Performance Center has a dyno but I am not sure about their experience with tuning EFI Mustangs. Also, Woodbine Motorsports has a Mustang Dyno and uses SCT for tuning. I think he specializes in Lightnings but has experience tuning Mustangs as well. I,m fairly certain your LMAF has a different transfer function than the stock GT does, so I would put it on a dyno to monitor your A/F. The only other Mustang shop in the area that I know of with a dyno is Flowers in Glen Burnie, but I've read some horror stories about his work on the internet (so you have to take that info with a grain of salt).

I have heard real good thinks about Kauffmans.. And yea Dillsburgh is not that far away maybe an hour tops. I would really look into them.
