the thing i hate most is that all the civic kids take out the old motor and put some motor from a car that was never ment to be in there and then they talk shit...let me get my stang back and drop a completely stock 460 in it i would run circles around that civic...then i'll mod it like the civics do then i'll gut it like the civics do then we'll talk fair race...no doubt that civic was bad ass but how can you expect to bragg about that when your car is set up to its full potential and you beat a stock car...

Sorry matt i have to beg to differ on this one. What is wrong with an engine swap? You have a civic and you want to put a more capable engine in it people do this all the time. Mike Keys' car didnt come with a 350 in it but the 350 has a lot more potential than that 305 did same with 3rd gen camaros i believe then are a lot of people put 350s in them and talk shit. Am i mistaken matt or were you not talking about putting a 351 in your car at one point. Now i disrespect anyone who talks a bunch of shit just as much as the next guy but dont disrespect the practice of engine swaps.

Or atleast tell them what you have in it and don't be a dick letting them believe / telling them it is the stock motor.

But here is how i look at modifying. Cars are designed to be stock, cars are not designed to be modified, modifications are designed for cars. That is why its hard to find aftermarket products that work/fit like oem products. But who doesnt like to mod?

tell me this...have you ever heard mike k bragg about beating a stock car....secondly i was never gonna put a 351 in my car i was gonna stroke it to a 331. plus 350 have been in monte carlos and all sorts of chevys all over...not that swaps are bad but with a swap comes a class change and competing against stock cars is out of that class if you want i'll put a jet engine on a 10 speed and we can go!

God nobody can give it up to the cars...You first say well the amount of money it takes to make an import fast you can just spend on a big V8 thats already fast.......so proving all you believers in that wrong peeps go out, pick up a hunk of shit 89 hatch for 300 bucks, swap out the engine and turbo it and now you have a 12 sec car...which you only spent 3 grand on.....STILL not good enough. so then you say oh well you swapped the engine...who cares....sounds like your all running outta ways to surpress imports. all im sayin is give credit where credit is due and stop makin up excusses and admit imports can be just as fast from civics to supras.

i guess what i always really wanna say is that imports sound like shit...for the most part... they look like shit for the most part and there slow as piss for the most part where as v8's sound good always look good and are usually fast. i mean this is the standpoint...most imports start off slow and ugly where as most muscle cars are already fast and look good...but bottom line is no matter what i say im not trying to change anyones opinion but all i can do is give mine... but ...whatever who gives a shit
