Well, my brother managed to do a real dumbass move and fuck up the Vette.

Damn son. Is that thing sitting up on Jack Stands. It looks like the rear is elevated. If it isnt then it looks like he really fucked the suspension. How do those chrome side pipes look. Did they get harmed at all.

Yeah its up on jack stands cause the driver's side rear tire was flat. Not sure about any underside damage... We will wait and see when we get it up in the air and check on it. Its really surprising he didn't rip the oil pan off the bottom of the engine.

That fact that you were able to drive it the rest of the way home is amazing. I would have thought you would have at least broken an oil line or ripped the pan off. That was a pretty steep bank that you ride for a while.

Screw the lemonade you can make pop corn now with what was inside your car.

Tom I totally agree with you here on this point. But I'm going to try and speak my two cents.

[RANT] The car is Kenny's you sold it to him last August. Now I know at one time it was yours and you cared for and babied the car, and I know you put a ton of work into getting it into shape. But you sold it to Kenny. You know longer have control over what happens with this car and how it is treated. Now you would hope Kenny would treat it with the same respect as you did, as he saw first hand the work that went into it. However He felt the need to test the suspension and take it around a corner at 60 mph. However this is his liberty of owning the car. Hell he can run it into a tree if he wants, we would hope he doesnt. But my point is it is HIS car not yours any longer. And I know it sucks, and yes I do think it was a stupid move on Kennys part, but we, especially you need to stop beating him up about it. Like I said it is his car now not yours. Look at it this way, CARS CAN BE FIXED, KENNY MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BE FIXED. All you can hope for coming out of this that Kenny learnt a lesson: You can't drive a 1978 vette like it is a C5. I hope it was a learning experiance for him, I hope he looks back at how he drives and evaluates the situation a little better then he has in the past. This is what I hope comes out of this. And Im not trying to bust your chops Tom, becuase i would probally feel the same way about it if I had sold my Mustang to my brother and he did the same thing. However i would try to keep the mentality of I hope he learned a lesson and wouldnt do something stupid like that again... [/RANT]

Heh, I could really give 2 shits... Its not MY money coming out of my pocket to pay for it... Its just a hassle on mine and my dad's part cause I know it will be the 2 of us taking care of his problem.

Like i said above Im not trying to start a pissing match with you. And that sucks that it has become a burdon on you and your dad, but maybe the mentality should be well he fucked up he needs to fix it. I mean that is how it was for me and my mustang. When i put it up over the cement median and fucked it my parents were like you got yourself in this mess now get out. They gave me guidance, but it was me doing all the leg work. Maybe to further sink this into kennys head maybe he should have to do all the leg work, under the supervision of you and your dad. It would prove to him that getting a car fixed is not fun. This would releave a bit of the burdon on you and your dad, and would teach him a leasson at the same time. Dont let him get off so easy. Like i said above it is his car, he got him self into this mess, now he needs to get himself out under the supervision and guidance of you and your dad. He will continue to have the attitued of "Just Roll With It" if you leave him out of the repair step, becuase he wont see the work involved in it. And he would probally have the mentallity of well if this happens again ill just sit back and they will take care of it. Like i said i was not busting your chops. I think i was more saying he fucked up now he needs to fix it..

actually, no it's not..
don't even think about saying that there's nothing stopping me from doing the work, cuz that's bull. If I did any work on that car on my own accord, I'd get yelled at for doing so. Even if I did the work correctly, I'd still get yelled at w/ the excuse that I was lucky, and I could have messed something up, and that I should wait for someone else to be there with me to "help".. yeah well whenever there's someone else "helping".. they take over and I end up being the guy who gets to answer to "here, hold this for a minute" or "gimme that (miscellaneous tool) over there".. that's all I'm ever allowed to do.

And yes, I know that I don't know a lot about working on cars.. wonder why? yeah, well gotta learn sometime, right? what better opportunity, eh? well too bad that's gonna go to waste as I'm not gonna get to do jack on my own. And I'm sorry I don't have the free time to work on it either. I got a whopping 3 DAYS off from work, out of the entire MONTH of August.. Free time isn't something I have a lot of.. and just wait until school starts.. I'll have even less free time then.

So don't try to turn this around on me. I know I screwed up, and I won't do it again, nuff said. That doesn't seem to be good enough for some poeple though.. One of the first things I told my mom after telling her about the accident was that I wanted to do all of the work on this car myself, and that I didn't want to cause more work for anyone else, because of a mistake that I made.

And now I think I'm done.

Kenny I aint try to start a bitching fest, I am assuming there was a post in there some where that got deleted, and to which you were replying to. But you said in that last post what i think every one wanted to hear. I fucked up and I wont do it again. That is all.
