Are you sure your gonna let that guy install your gears? Plus i wanna check your fuel pressure and leakdown before installing a pump just to be sure. I can check it next tuesday the 26th

Well got the calipers all painted up over the weekend. So they are all ready to go on as soon as i get the time to do it. Here is what the finished product turned out looking like.
I feel they turned out pretty darn good. The picture doesnt really do them any justice. I cant wait to get these on the car with the drilled and slotted rotors it should end up looking real good.

yea jeremy the brakes do look really good.......hopefully itll all fit up to the car right.
God created turbo lag to give V8's a chance.
They should. Im just worrying abotu scratching the paint on them..
Im going to look around the net to see if i can find a clear protective gel or something. I think eastwood sells something like that.

Should have gone for the gold right off the bat and ordered the caliper paint right fron Eastwood... You won't regret it, even if it is a few bucks more than the competition.
Well havent done much with the stang recently. I have been way to busy. I have however gotton a beater it is a 2000 ford focus (Yes I have blue in my blood) with a little less then 80,000 miles on the ticker. I picked it up for a hair over 3g's.
Anyways as far as the mustang goes, this saterday the gears and brakes are going on. God I have had that stuff for like 4 months now... Where does the time go ... Anyways I will post back and let you know the results maybe I can even clean the car up and snap a few pictures. Other things accomplished with the stang are 1: a new head unit, and 2: custom fitting a non custom fitted car cover to it. The new head unit is an alpine and looks liek this:
The green lighting on it matches my inetrior lighting pretty well. I really like it and the price was right. Only thing it doesnt do is play mp3 cd's but I can live without that... As for the car cover I got that for free from Mike K, it fit my car but not well. I ended up cutting out a hole for the antenna, and adding groumets around the outside so i can use string and bungycords to tie it down so those fierce winter winds dont rip it off. All I have to say is bring it winter...

I have to meet him in towson at 7:00am and i technically have to be at work in westminster at 10:30am, but i am getting mike t to cover my ass till im able to get there...

You need to quit Lonestar. That place OWNZ you!
And Lone Star sucks ballz!!
2000 Trans Am WS6, 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, 2003 Yamaha YZF-R6
It does suck balls but it pays the bills. I actually find it kind of funny though, becuase everyone fills it with so much drama. God it would make a great reality show...

Well gear and brake install on saterday went smooth as all hell. No major set backs everything fit up nice. Car is insane now. It pulls like a bat out of hell, and it chirps second and third under WOT. It is so much fun to drive now. I can see myself get in some real trouble with the police now. But what ever the brakes really livened it up, I will have trake results hopefully this friday we will see how they compare to my previous best. Oh and lets not forget the brakes, the car now stops on a dime, and they look damn hot to. Completely fill up my wheels.
We did run into three small problems with the brakes though. The first one being the biggest was we need 4 crush washers to put on the fittings for the rear caliper, so the lines wouldnt take on air. Assuming that we were doing all the work at the ford dealership and that this was a ford part one would assume that they would have it WRONG... It took chris and I almost 2 hours to find a store that carried these 4 bolts. Thank you NAPA for carring the parts we needed, Fuck you for taking so long to get us the parts. Second problem was with the front brakes and the stanless steal lines. The mount that held the lines up out of the way did not fit these new lines, however nothing an air powered die grinder couldnt solve.. The third problem was on the first test drive the vibrated while stoping horribly, but that problem solved itself. I am assuming the pads just need to seat themselves problerly on the caliper and get adjusted to the new rotors.
Thanks go out to chris on this step of the project. He is a really great guy, and helped me out alot with this. He took the time to show me what every part was and explained what it did, he also allowed me to get my hands dirty and help out. Without him this step probally would have not gotton accomplished. He was also nice enough to purchase me all of the bearings and what not we needed for the install. Also he changed my fuel filter to help out with the cold starts, and he flashed my ecu to clear all the codes that i had been accumulating. Car runs great now thanks to all the work he put into it. And to top it all off he allowed me to use his discount to buy a trim pocket to put in place of my lower CD player, now that i have the new head unit, he saved me like 10 dollars, and helped install it. It really cleaned up the look of the interior. Once again many thanks to chris...
Oh and lets not forget all of the pictures of the install and the new look. I will have them posted as soon as chris gets them to me.
Next part of the project is installing my strut tower brace, and installing the fuel pressure gauge that chris gave me for $0.00 ... Hopefully that will get done this saterday, not sure though we will see.

Damn, sounds like a real awesome turnout. Does he do work on First Gen Mustangs
Can't wait to see the pictures and to experience the difference. Only problem is that you work at LS all the time and you are too cool to hang out with us anymore during the week as well on weekends now. So, I guess I will have to wait till Car Weekend to check out the transformation.

Nah weekends been solved. I only work on Sundays now. Now that college is back in they are getting alot more servers/cooks/bartenders in and Im not working there as much. Which is good for me. I am also in the process of looking for anouther full time job that pays a bit more then the one i am at now. I have applied to a few so we will see what happens. When i do get this new job i will be back to my 40 hour work weeks. however 800$ every two weeks just aint cutting it. Allowed for no money for the stang.
As for working on first gens you would have to ask him. Im not sure what his knowledge with them are. However he is a real stand up and steller guy and I really apreacated his help, and service.
I also found the cure for the speedometer. I will have to purchase a speed cal. It is a little box that allows for you to tune in any tire size and gear ratio to adjust the speedometer.
