Jeremy, I was re-reading your flyer and this line caught my attention.

"Come join our little car enthusiast community today, and experience the expierences that all of SweetRides2001 current members are experiencing."

The word experience is used ALOT in that one sentence. Just a thought though..

I designed the poster..I used the one logo and used Jeremy's information from his flyer on the poster. I want to put the link to the actual word document on here so you guys can see it and tell me what you think..BUT I don't know how to do that. HELP![/url]

Yeah, I agree about the overuse of the word "experience." I have yet to go through the text and submit my changes, but that looks good!

Great job figuring out the uploads and the URL post Michele... Can't hurt anything by trying!

Jeremy, I will do some revisions on your layout and post it again for us to printout on 8 1/2" x 11" for flyers.

I changed some of the wording, fonts, and bolded some items on the Users area to bring out the options available to users.
I can't post the DOC only because I used a lot of different fonts not found on most PCs.

Yeah that was just something i threw together quick, and i do agree with you. So if anyone wants to make revisions go ahead. As for You Michele good job uploading, I like what you put together, maybe throw some car pictures or something in. Im assuming you are going to print this all out and cut it up and glue it to a poster board. So you will have more room to do stuff rather then an 8.5 by 11 piece of paper.

They both look awesome... Lets stick with these 2 designs and critique. Since the fonts on mine are crazy, I will print my rendition out at my work, and you can print your new one at your work Jeremy.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I planned on just printing it, cutting it out, and putting it on posterboard. So I will be adding some pictures. I'll see what I can do here at school..

Not bad Tom. Not crazy over the some of the fonts, but maybe becuase the image is not at its full size. They look kind of blocky to me. However i do like the changes with bolding stuff. If you want to change the new one i made go for it, but dont change the fonts i like them. Just change the wording. And be careful with the alignment. It is a real bitch if you get it out of wak. I spent all morning working on that, and most of the problems i was having was aligning issues.

I really like the second flyer from jeremy's idea. And i think michele your doin a damn good thing for this site too. I just have a few suggestions that might help out in getting people to come and visit. I was talking to tom about the flyer and i thought about deff using the second flyer as the main one but adding a couple of pictures. Since it's the votech car show there always is a good amount of imports there. So y not add like a picture of the eclipse and maybe josh's car because when those guys look at the flyer they'll only see american v-8...which i have no problem with but how will it make them wanna look at the site if there is nothing eye-appealing for them. I mean don't we want all kinds on the site. I really don't know how to do all of the imputing of pictures and stuff so that's y you guys are doing this Alright i thought i'd just put in my thoughts...thanx

Good suggestion brent. I agree with you, and when i designed that flyer i didnt have in mind an american v-8 thing. I just choose some pictures that i liked. Let me take a look and see if i can come up with anything else.

omg, where did u get that pic of my car (in the 2nd flyer design).. it's a 3/4 side-shot of my car in OC.. seems like.. that's one that I dont have. hook me up! lol

oh and, I like the 2nd flyer.. and i dunno if it's just me or what, but I think we overuse the same images.. On one hand, if we use generic pics of the various types of cars, we can show that we include everybody... but by using pics of our cars, it shows the friendly environment, the "get-to-know-you" organization that we may or may not want to be..

so, whatever.

And the second pic is toms vette. If you are talking about the bottom pic though, that was at deer park, and you can find it in misc images in the image gallery. And yeah some images come up over and over again, but that is becuase they are damn good shots. There are alot of photos in our image gallery that really suck for something like a flyer, and that is where i pull everything from.
