Changing the oil with transmission fluid?
by eagecl
I've heard that changing your oil with transmission fluid for two days of regular driving and then doing a regular oil change will clean out alot of junk in the system? Has anyone done this or had success with it?
Honestly, I have never heard of that kind of process before. I would like to know what its all about if it actually works.

Maybe all these years the oil companys have been screwing us! Who knew that there was just one universal engine fluid. I guess transmission fluid is like the Micro$oft in the computer world. No one uses anything else? I even use ATF in my Flux Capacitor

I am guessing this is another far fetched story from our resident story teller?? Or is this actually true about the Oil Change?

There is an engine flush available at most auto parts stores. I use CD2, just prior to an oil change. Works great for me....Keeps those lifters nice and quiet...

i've heard of adding diesel / kerosene to your oil to burn the nasty shit out... but not straight tranny fluid.... use diesel.... then change your oil.
Trans fluid will clean your engine. Trans fluid has detergents in it but you shouldn't use only trans fluid maybe 1 quart trans 4 quarts oil. thats why if you do a trans service on an old car with 100k+ you will break it because the new fluid has stronger detergents that loosen deposits and clog the valvebody
