'85 Trans Am - Electrical Issues
I installed a new battery and alternator, however some issues still linger. For one, the voltage only reads at about 10V when the car is first started. They jump up to 14V when the RPMs reach about 3000. The accessories are all running slower, i.e. turn signals have longer cycles, the interior lights aren't as bright. Some vacuum tubes are dry rotted and pinch when the car runs. I'm going to replace those sections of tube. Just looking for any advice.

Maybe you got a bum alternator

Hmmm, thats a head scratcher for ya there...
Seems weird that the hoses would cause a problem now all of the sudden if they didn't before the parts changes. Not sure though. Whateve it is, don't let it turn into a money pit

RH i had the same prob cept mine left me stranded on 795 in the rain
not fun stuff however there was an easy solution to the prob....i dont know if this will work for u but....what my prob was, was that the plug that fits onto the alternator wasnt on tight it somehow wiggled its way off and shot my battery....so all i did was push it back on to where it snapped and taadaa problem fixed....simple fix...if thats not the case then u have a bad alternator..thats the beginin signs of a shot alternator....good luck
