looks like my nissan maxima has a jammed clutch. it doesnt seem to un jam. no matter how hard i press on it..

Anyways, I don't know too much about manual trannys, but is the pedal stuck in a down position, or is it released and you can't depress the pedal?

Well, atleast with front wheel drive, you should be able to have a friend look in the engine compartment for any kind of movement on the linkage going from the pedal to the transmission.

Any noises or vibrations before the problem started that would lead you to believe that the transmission itself it seized?

i dont hear anything when i turn on ignition

who needs a clutch? Just rev the fuck out of it and slap it in first and so on per each gear.
