I'm kinda stripped for cash right now and I still want to finish my jeep. I sent sting some pictures of it. But i was wondering, which would be better hydros or a lift. And where could i get the cheapest parts?

Give brenty25 a holler he just got a lift and a set of 33's for his jeep, and i think he got them for a pretty damn good deal. Dont quote me on this but i think it was something like 600$ for all the parts and instalation. He would be able to anwser that more correctly but like i said give him a shoot out..

you will deff pay more for hydros....the best place (not that i have ever had an SUV, just from what my buddy with a beefed up YJ said) is prob Rubicon Express. I dont know if they deal privately like jegs or summit but they might. The dude jeremy is talkn about is only gettn a deal because of the guy he knows. He deals personaly with rubicon and does the work him self......and is damn good at it too. But yea to awnser your orig question all you need is just a good lift. check out places like ebay too.... sometimes you can get some great deals on parts like that theres alot of guys out there who keep on upgradin and sell there used lifts for alot less. plus depending on how old they are theres not much you can screw up on. hope this helps ya

Hey man...yeah i've got a 95 Jeep Grand Che. It's pretty much in perfect condition. I'm going with a 3inch Rubicon Ex. lift with a set of 31 BfGood's A/T.

I'd say deff go with the lift because for one as mike said...you'll spend a lot more with hydros, plus Jeeps always look good lifted and that's they way it should be. I've looked around and found some prices for the lift just to compare and normally they run about 650-700 for the lift without install. I'm not sure what you have engine wise but i have the 5.2 V-8 and those prices were for that because i need the stronger springs but i'm sure you probably could find them in any off road magazine. So all in all deff go with the lift...it'll look badass.

Give me a holler if you have a questions Thumbs Up

Thx for the advice man. I usually do most of the upgrades myself, its the serious engine stuff that i leave to the professionals. My old engine died and since i dropped in a 6lit v8. i'm pretty much finished with that part, only i still want to see if i can get it supercharged. Its a fast sucker, i just want to make it faster Twisted Evil

Yeah I was real impressed with how fast it was...i got the limited AWD so i have no problem "racing" just to see the pick-up and it's great.

I don't know if i'd go all the way to a supercharger but even if you just tried the Hypertech power pro. to pick up some extra, but that extra could be a lot. I'm completly blacking mine out windows, head/tail lights and eventually wheels. Rockin'

I'll eventually get to the power part but that is mainly for my Trans am as of right now.

God knows money is always the problem Bang Head

I would like to do something with my Jeep, but I am afraid to find out what a lift and big tires will do to my already bad gas mileage. Right now, I drive 42 miles one way to work and I am filling up the beast every other day.

Fun Fun

if you want to know about the Z, some asshole stole it while i was at work. Either the police are still sitting on their asses, or the guy made quick work of it.
All that I know is what i got from other people. I put up a sign asking if anyone saw anything about my nissan. One of the guy that i work with said he saw it driving off, but thought i was on a lunch break or runing an errand. And a nice old lady said she saw some guy trying to get in using some type of crowbar through the window slot. She figured that he'd left his keys in the car. and all she said she saw about him was he had a cap on and a bong sweatshirt. She was pretty nice, but thats the only link i have to wha happened Confused
